Said they were from my local bank but couldn't actually say which bank. Didn't trust them.

Called us trying to get us to “renew” a care plan, and only wanted our bank account details so they could send us renewal details. Claimed that “under GDPR, they could not retain those details”. Said that as soon as they got those details they would call back and verify then send details. Kept trying to “explain”. When told it sounded like a scam, they transferred me to another person. Called at 11.04 ,when I answered it hung up on me. It would be nice to say sorry, I have dial the wrong number.

Called this morning came up on my phone as suspect spam didnt answer

I was called from this number allegedly 'Virgin media' did not trust the caller so dialed it back to find out it was a residential number whose number had been scammed. On calling Virgin and my bank fortunately they never got anything. Just hang up and block number.

SCAM "Hello Mum, phone broken" scam

Claimed to be from Vodafone. Said a SIM swap had been requested and wanted to check this was correct. I said it was not correct. He then said he suspected my account had been hacked and that he would sent an SMS with a code which I had to read to him. The SMS came from Vodafone and had a code with text reading 'this code gives access to your account, do not share it'. The caller was a scammer and wanted access to my account. I hung up.
