Introduced himself as Matthew Cole. Called me by my first name so he has my mobile number and my name. Said he was calling from Aviva about my Life Insurance. I don't have Aviva Life Insurance I told him. He hung up immediately. SCAM. NOT AVIVA AT ALL AND HIS NAME SEEMED FAKE ALSO. Googled Matthew Cole Aviva nothing came up. DO NOT ANSWER. 01332 550938 Received call 13.38 Monday 21/9/2020 to an EX Directory BT landline. I answered automated Msg started with US accent claiming to be from HMRC – I hung up. The No. hails from Derby.

say you ve got the loan, ask s you to pay 1st month as good will gesture, then says you need ppi on the loan which they offer for £199.99p and they will keep the lot as the numbers you get can t be traced. please don t do what i did coz they are very convincing.

Safe number Sky VIP. I ended up with a much better deal. The number 0800 862 0818 is genuine, but everyone should always consider if a number is spoofed - try to get them to tell you something about you that they know already. Eg if they ask for your email, tell them a fake one and see if they know it's fake. If they don't, they may not be genuine.

Tried to use the ASSOC Command Scam to justify their claim to be from VirginMediua becasue they knew the (supposedly unique) ID 888DCA60-FC0A-11CF-8F0F-00C04FD7D062 which actually is found on every Windows PC

I started getting calls from this number saying that I was owed compensation for a car accident I had recently been in. I informed them I had never been in an accident so they asked me if a family member had been, and I said no and hung up. I ve had a few more calls saying the same thing, and each time I told them to f*** off and hung up. Now they call, don t say anything and then hang up, this happens at least once a week.
