However when I started the process I immediately suspected it was scam and called them out for being scammer. SPAM: upon answering a recorded message played to state my NI number could be suspended due to my phone number having been associated with several illegal activities and I could be arrested and assets seized. The next prompt was to press 1 to speak to an officer. Needless to say I didn’t do anything of the sort and came straight here to report it!

UK +447738015632 is a Scam caller. Hang up, block the number & report it. I answered & it took a couple of seconds to connect to the caller, in the way offshore call centres connect. Sure enough an Indian accented woman said "Hello how are you?" When I asked who she was, she said she was calling from she replied, Curry's PC World. Report it to Ofcom by texting or forwarding to 7726
