I have been telephoned this afternoon – apparently by EE – to tell me that I was getting a 45% discount on my bill for the next year? I was then passed on to a supervisor to confirm my email address – which I did. They then said that they would email me and I would need to change the password to EEdefault19: at this point I told the caller I would hang-up.
This is a scam. Claiming to be from my phone provider.
Saying they are Santander. Scam.
Had a call from this number on my landline at 5:30pm on Wednesday 26th July. Heard two voices on the line when I answered - one a lady who identified herself by name & said she was a local energy adviser (although this phone number is not local to me) but did not give a company name, the other a gentleman talking in a foreign language. Tone was polite then turned quite aggressive when I said I don’t even have sky (I do just testing them!) said they must help me with my technical issues. Called Sky myself they confirmed no such calls are being made by them. It’s A SCAM!

Caller says you've suspicious transactions on your card, knows your name and last four digits of the card. Asks you to check the balance, in my case without any security questions. I have received phone calls from this number a few times so I called to tell them to stop calling. The call went to the answering machine message "your call is very important to us, please stay on the line and wait for the next available agent" - no mention of company name (always a rubbish sign), I waited 5 minutes and they disconnected.

Fraud - claim to be calling from the security department of my bank (not naming the bank) about two card transactions this morning, one of £300 for Amazon and one of £1.100 on Amazon. Press 1 to authorise payments, press 2 to speak to customer service advisor. I hung up.

I too have solar panels and I have had eight calls in the last week from a Chelmsford number. Its as good as a scam, pretending to have discount vouchers for work on your house to be more eco friendly. Very persistent and don't take no for an answer.
Called today. When i asked for name to be confirmed due to a strong accent the lady suddenly changed her name to Kate Brown. Very forceful to try to confirm my name. She used an old name so I said it wasn’t me. I said don’t call again and she said she would call again.
Fraud : An automated message claiming to be from HMRC and claiming to be initiating legal action against me. An Indian accented call centre worker then asked how she could help me and I spoke briefly before she told me to shut up 3 times and ended the call.

This number called me up to ‘follow up’ after a fraud attempt on my Revolut card. I had actually contacted Revolut as I had another scam call the day before (definitely linked to this one) attempting for me to give a code to add my card to their Apple Pay. They were convincing, and said if I don’t give them answers to the security questions then they can’t block the payments. I believe they had my card details already, so if this has happened to you cancel your card for the account they seem to have and get

Called from "my bank security" telling me that my card (no ref to debit or credit )had been used for £300 to Amazon and over £1000 to an international transaction. Usual press 1, 2 etc. DO NOT RESPOND. This is a premium call no. and you will be charged upwards of £20 just for dialling and then a high charge per second. DO NOT ANSWER OR HANG UP.
