SCAM?? Monday 14 August I received a text from this number stating: 'Morning mum just a quick txt from my smart watch to let you know about my upgrade with 02. Send me a text on 07356051057 so I can update you on my contacts list' I have not contacted either number as my child would not phrase their message like this, i think may be a scam rather than a wrong number as it is texting from one number asking for a text to another number - ?dodgy?

My wife answered the phone, and an apparently recorded message said that there was a suspicious transaction involving a £300 bill from Amazon which had not been paid. Then she was asked to press some number at which point she ended the call. I found the callers number by using 1471. The call appears to be a scam.
Caller claimed to be from the bank of Scotland doing a survey. I said I didn’t know if they were from the Bank of England and put the phone down. SPAM
SCAM called to discuss damp problems reported in my property, I don’t have damp issues and have never reported any problems. I own my own property so knew immediately that this was a scam, talked to them long enough to get the gist of what they were trying to do before hanging up.

Answered the phone, the person on the other end could barely speak English. Hung up, blocked and coincidentally immediately received a call from an 0203 number which I didn’t answer and blocked.

When I asked how do I know they are Revolut, they said I can check number at the back of the card. Well spoken female called back after getting cut off. Said they checked my fuse box ten years ago and wanted to do another free check. Asked me to go to the fuse box. I said it was difficult to reach and it was a consumer unit with circuit breakers. She said in that case no need for a check. Obviously if they'd checked ten years ago they would know what equipment I had. Why I continued to engage with her was we had circuit breakers changed by the makers of the consumer unit as they had found quality issues.
