I am local to Wrexham and have recently had 4 local numbers that have called me whose numbers I don t recognize so have left the calls go to answer phone but shortly after my answer phone message starts, they hang up. They are probably all from the same organization all calling from different numbers. Halifax building society. They called me today to confirm an appointment.

It s insurance on behalf of unite. They only phone if you tell them your interested in insurance. Also you are entitled to free cover upto 5k for a year but they are asking if you want more coverage. If you speak to them and you don t want it that s it for a year.

Had a phone call from them and they seemed to know some of my personal details (well, as far as my phone number, name and 1st line of my address). I asked them who they were and got the response AAC and nothing more than that. The guy was very evasive and when I asked what the call was regarding was just told it was "sensitive information". I told him he had the wrong number and I hung up. I was involved in a car accident about a year ago so they may well have been ringing about that.
