After searching online, others have suggested it's Domestic and General, which I do have cover with for appliances, therefore would expect them to talk. SCAM - The Phone rang and caller (a computer) hung up when I didn't speak! This was a computer generated call trying to sniff out voice lines. If you answer then the line will be detected as 'a voice line' and you'll be called back later by a con-artist. They may also be quick to say they are not selling, simply enquiring, surveying, etc. THESE CALLS ARE SCAMS & HARASSING. If ever in doubt tell them to write to you, but DON'T give your address, if genuine they should know it, or just hang up!

This number called my mobile. I ignored it as number I did not recognise and they did not leave a message. I have not disclosed my mobile number to anyone I do not know. I suspect that they are dialling numbers to see if they get a response and that it is a computer dialling the number. If there is no response within a certain time it dials the next.

Asked me to confirm I had received the call by a voicemail message. I didn’t respond.
Said they were calling from (mumbled) and that thousands of pounds were being taken out of my account which they thought unusual. The dialling code was our local number thought strange but them hung up rang from another 01242 number a few minutes later but ignored
hard to understand operator with heavy foreign accent. Offered to stop all unwanted calls but required a lot of information. I terminated the call.

John from UK driveway company, a real human being with a genuine English accent, calling my TPS registered landline, thus making this call illegal, and I shall be reporting it to TPS and the police for immediate action, given that he rang on 2 consecutive days, with me finally deciding to answer on the 3rd call so add harassment to the charge sheet! I hope the judge puts on his little black cloth head covering when sentencing.
SCAM it is time the government did something about these types of phonecalls. It is time to put a stop to the harassment and potential danger caused by them.

They then went on to ask lots of questions like what my salary / wage is, insurance questions. My thought is that they try to keep you on the line and you pay for the time
