Calling Sapphire on this number is a cost trap. You hold on for several minutes whilst an automated message chips on and on @ 15p a minute and then when it is answered and you state that you are chasing payment their standard response is that the cheque to settle the Voucher claim will be posted next Monday. This has happened to me on a total of 7 times now. I ve received 2 payments of £20 and £50 but I ve still not got back my £79.99 fee plus being charged around £15 in phones calls. Now I ve been chasing

Phoned once. Answered it but didn t say anything. Girl asked for me by name. I made enough noise that she knew someone was there and waited a minute then hung up. Half an hour later, a man called. Joe. I said "You re coming up as a nuisance call on my phone. Why is that?". He identified himself as Joe from a company called Clear Answer working on behalf of EE. I said "I won t speak to you until you provide me with your company number from Companies House". He went quiet then tried to give me "01482489010"

Someone somewhere was or is being scammed by some fake investment groups and it is sad, this experience is harder than many people think. I received a call from this number today from someone claiming to be NHS Test and Trace but there was no way of verifying who the individual was so I was not willing to share personal information with him. If it is an NHS number then maybe they should send a text beforehand so the recipient knows the identity of the call. This is really important as there are so many phone scams going round and this was in relation to Covid19 where a lot of people feel vulnerable and at the mercy of the NHS.

Then, when I had refused to give straight answers to personal questions, turned abusive having realised I had her number (sorry for the bad joke!). Do not take calls from this number, and if you do, keep making refusals - they won t be playing fair with you.
