I’ve just been called from this number claiming to be my credit card fraud check. It mentions two extremely high transactions, not made by me, then to press 1 to authorise or 2 to talk to customer service. I didn’t, I hung up, checked all my cards. No transaction has been attempted. This is a scam call.

After endless repeated attempts from scammers trying to phish me. I dont answer strange numbers, especially ones that dont leave a message. It urges you to press 1 to have further details about the case before they issue an arrest warrant. Block number and report. It is so funny how the UK govt allows number spoofing and can not get to know who uses these numbers. It is no brainer that o2 could identify who uses this spoofed numbers. Fraud. Female automated voice claiming to be "bank security". Said two new charges appeared on my account. Hundreds of pounds on prepaid phone card and something for Mexico. Press 1 or 2 to to speak to support staff. Laughably worded but still evil and some will fall for it.
Phone app (Hiya) warned this was a number suspected of scamming and automatically blocked it.

Apparently from BT technical department, reporting of people interfering with my internet, foreign accent. Told them I would contact my local BT office, did not appear to like that, then I just hung up.
Answered a couple of times and left the phone next to the lap top so they could listen to Forged in Fire whilst i watched it. Not sure how long they said hello, hello, hello. ????
This number has called me 5 times in the last 2 days but never leaves a message which is very annoying being woken up buy them firsy thing in the morning.
This is a scam, the call is a recorded message, claiming transactions have been made on your credit card. Don't answer it!

SCAM The number 01388764949 calls and when answered, immediately plays a synthetic male voice reading a Fake BT technical department message. Warns that your internet is going to be terminated in 24 hours because hacking has been detected from IP address. Message asked to press 1, to contact BT, or press 2 for other.

Has rang 3 times in twenty minutes asking for someone who left the company over a decade ago. Then asking for the person who deals with the energy account (we have a broker who deals with it all on our behalf) and when told we are not interested rings back anyway.

NHS Golden Jubilee Hospital Clydebank - a genuine call(!) - am amazed, in this day & age... Didn't answer (due to spammers/cold-callers) - however they phone a week b4 to confirm appointments. I checked this number out (including here) b4 calling then back. This means - for genuine - potetntially vital calls - extra time has been taken out of my working/caring day (bath getting cold) & notably, at least double the NHS time taken on a quick confirmation call (unanswered), then NHS answering m
