I am local to Wrexham and have recently had 4 local numbers that have called me whose numbers I don t recognize so have left the calls go to answer phone but shortly after my answer phone message starts, they hang up. They are probably all from the same organization all calling from different numbers. So far the numbers who have called me are as follows: 01978 638019 01978 638253 01978 638486 01978 638995 I just wish I had bought a better landline phone to block these and other nuisance spam
Silent calls are made once or twice daily. My answer-phone states "the caller has cleared", and normally the number is withheld, but not on this and a previous occasion. The pattern of the calls makes me think it is the same caller, [for many months]. The TPS advise it may be silent or abandoned calls,or recorded calls.

Claiming to be from OPUS ENERGY - Had all company details and bottom line of our supply number and wanted us to give the top line of supply number to confirm. Background sounded dodgy so I gave him the wrong one and he confirmed it was correct. He messed up when he asked for the GAS supply number - we are an all electric building. The person calling said they were from Carphone Warehouse and wanted to talk to me about upgrading my phone (but didn't seem to know what model phone I had, plus this mobile isn't with Carphone Warehouse), but the number is showing up online as belonging to a newsagent in Daventry so be cautious as I'm not sure it's legit...

This number wrang me pretending to be HMRC...claiming my names been reported as tax fraud and i had to give them details yo sort it . I ended the call and immediately reported it to HMRC who confirmed it's a scam plus it was reported to my phone network . Please watch out for these scammer
