Man calling about a medical pendant. May have been harmless but he was very evasive when I asked where he got my phone number (we're not on any lists and don't get cold-called much). He seemed to be reading from a script and looking up the answers, as there were long gaps between my asking a question and his reply. I told him I was going to hang up and did so.

It seems as though this could be a nuisance caller. My husband and I have both had calls from this number today, on our mobiles, while on holiday in France. It's slightly worrying, as we have many friends and relatives in the Manchester area. I got a call from this number today, 06/03/2023, from someone claiming to be from Vodafone, I was offered a 20% discount for the last 12 months of my contract. When they asked for my name and address I ended the call. They had a strong Indian accent. I contacted Vodafone who confirmed is was a fraud.

Probably not a call from Orpington - there was a clicking before a connection was made suggesting a spoof number. A south asian female voice asked for me by name. I said not me and asked who she was. The call was then immediately ended at her end. In my view this is highly likely to be a dangerous scam call.

I filled in a pile of crap and they only stopped me going further this time because they cannot count and apparently I am in London...news to me. The call came from Manchester yet again probably rerouted from a call centre abroad. I have blocked the number as always.

I asked him to speak slowly and clearly, he repeated the garbled content and I told him I didnt understand and needed him to speak slowly. He hung up. Sounded like a typical phishing call. Sad he hung up, I like to play them along for a while just for my entertainment and waste their time.
