SCAM - caller claimed to be from British Gas wanting to book me in for a boiler service. She didn't ask for anyone here by name so I didn't engage, just ended the call & blocked the number. I rang British Gas using the genuine number from their website - they confirmed that no-one's called me today.

I keep receiving messages in quick succession on my landline answer machine (8 this morning so far). They are clear until the company name is stated, when it becomes muffled. Having looked at the reviews, the calls seem to come from Talk Talk (can hear it is a busy call centre in the background), but I am with BT and have never had any dealings with Talk Talk!

Got a call from this number this morning. Silent call. I suspect scammers may be impersonating this number. The number is legit, it's a genuine company, but it could be scammers are spoofing their real number and stealing their number to look like this one instead.

Well spoken female called back after getting cut off. Said they checked my fuse box ten years ago and wanted to do another free check. Asked me to go to the fuse box. I said it was difficult to reach and it was a consumer unit with circuit breakers. She said in that case no need for a check. Obviously if they'd checked ten years ago they would know what equipment I had. Why I continued to engage with her was we had circuit breakers changed by the makers of the consumer unit as they had found quality issues.

The callers from this number are scammers. They called claiming to be 3 Mobile and wanted me to upgrade to a new contract when I only just renewed my contract with the real 3 Mobile a couple of months back and my existing contract is locked for another 10 months. I have signed up, she took my credit card and bank details. She said she'll get the phone delivered today...I'm not sure if this was a real or fake because i can't see any such offers today.
