Answered this tonight after repeated calls, its a PC scam where they get you to look at your event viewer then try to convince you to download software so they can take over your computer.. DO NOT ANSWER. Or... If you do, do what I did, keep them on the phone for 10 mins then tell them you know its a scam!

Called claiming to be Scottish Power. I stupidly went through the security questions (address and DOB) as I am in process of leaving Scottish Power. He then said I had a balance to pay on the account and would I like to pay by card. My father keeps getting calls from this number on his mobile in South Africa. He is a cancer patient and in hospital... it has been going on for more than a year, they just keep calling. I received a call approx 7 pm, and the man on the phones accent was very hard to understand, however i did try as he stated he needed 3 seconds of my time, NO LONGER, then proceeded to ask me a whole lot of questions i felt absolutely led to nowhere, like, the brand of my tv, my current relationship status, did i work, was i insured, who my power provider was my phone provider which contract phone i was with, but always said, after me asking "can you say that again please" he then said i has a chance of 4 l

This number buggers me several times a day. Why is it that they keep calling me, when they have my mother s number and could contact her directly.... It s a legitimate number, as I ve checked with TSB themselves when they carried the first time. It s going on my block list.
