I have BT guardian which asks callers to announce who they are before I answer. Most sales calls hang up at that point, this one didn't. Lovely lady explained that I could have a half hour appointment to check energy efficiency of my home and advise of any improvements. I made the appointment. Very polite young man called Adam arrived, checked the loft and roof, looked around, discussed my energy payment per month. The information given was useful, nothing to sign, no sales pitch. I would have no worries.

SPAM Person asked for a name that I have never heard of. I told him sorry, wrong number. He said "that's fine, what's your name please?" I said he doesn't need my name as he has called the wrong number and he got mad at me telling me that I'm rude and should tell him name. I hung up.

Stupidly, I clicked on the link, and entered card details for Postage of a PCR. RBS got in touch and cancelled the card, although 2 large transactions had been attempted. Called and said they from 3 mobile, promo dep. Offered two new phones with cheaper contracts, everything unlimited. (I got 8 months left tho). Then asked for name. He said he was passing me to his manager (diff man) he asked spelling of name, asked for postcode and house number. When I questioned needing house number he said checking because of scams. Also said different dep and just verifying. He asked for sort code & account number, when I questioned this HE HUNG UP! I called 3 not them. SCAMMERS!!
