SCAM Someone called “David” called trying to sell me a mobile phone contract. iPhone 13 pro max, 24 months with unlimited data, minutes and texts. For £40 a month. When enquired, came up with nonsense which made no sense. Asked for network provider, my name, and starting asking family names. Of course gave fake names and realised I knew they were scammers. Swearing dialogue commenced, said they were from Sri Lanka which seems nonsense. Accent sounded Indian. Called back on different number

Very suspicious, automated voice call basically telling me I'm in trouble with HMRC and to call the number they've rung from immediately. Strange that the message was with an American accent - yeah pull the other one!

It urges you to press 1 to have further details about the case before they issue an arrest warrant. Block number and report. It is so funny how the UK govt allows number spoofing and can not get to know who uses these numbers. It is no brainer that o2 could identify who uses this spoofed numbers. Received a text telling me I had been exposed to someone with Covid 19, Omicron
SCAM. I received a recorded phone msg from 02089876951 It was a woman who spoke very fast saying my visa card had been used for two large amounts of money this morning. I tried to find the above number, which wasn't found. If it had been my bank or building society, I would have been able to who called me. I think it's a 100% scam.

Just received a call from this number from an articulate young man who attempted to argue with me when I questioned who he was and shouted over me rather than listening to what I was saying. It was apparently something to do with green energy and saving me money. I said I did not deal with cold callers and asked him not to ring again as he could not save me money as my energy bills are fixed but he said I did deal with cold callers as I had answered the phone! It was altogether a very unpleasant call.
I don't answer calls from numbers I don't know, just look them up like this and see the comments after. Save yourself getting wound up by these idiots. I once had a phonecall from these "We've heard you've recently been in an accident" so I said yeah I was parachuting and as I was coming in to land I went through the windscreen of a lorry. Spammed 30 odd calls and never left a message. Eventually answered and a girl asked if I was interested in an accounting role. I said yes to see if things were legitimate and she hung up immediately after I answered. Something dodgy, without a doubt.
