I am fed up receiving up to 4 recorded messages every day from this number. In frustration I eventually dialled 2 and told a rather bored sounding person that I was fed up getting so many calls from them and asked if he could remove my name from their so called Government Database. He mumbled something and hung up! what can I do to stop this number calling me?

Suspected fraud Automated call saying they are calling from Royal Mail because parcel hasn't been delivered twice as nobody was home and to press button for English or Chinese. Then the same message in Chinese. As I did not press a button, the call ended. (And I am not waiting for a parcel). I am very suspicious, as I never got a call from Royal Mail from a mobile number, they normally leave a notification behind to pick it up yourself. Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 12179005xx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with financial services, trading on-line (also reported from different countries - international call centre). Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems). Folks did they call you with the same or something new?
