appears to be a phishing scam, its a recorded message about credit card suspicious use with a link to follow, i didnt follow the link but did check my credit cards and no such transactions ever happened.
Well spoken young male claiming to be from BT business and looking to review my phone usage and how I could reduce my costs. When I advised him that this was a residential line he said that as it was still being used for a business he could probably still save me money. When I showed disinterest he advised me that I would need to have a conversation with them soon as BT were discontinuing analogue phone services next year and we would lose our service if we didn't transfer to digital. I hung up.
Called about a recent accident I had, pushing me to make a claim despite no injuries. Told the guy I wasn't interested, after a couple of times he seemed to accept at the same time I hung up. Not overly pushy, just trying to do his job I guess. The main thing that annoyed me was that I asked if was appointed by either the 3rd party's or my own insurance he told me neither, he got my details from some accident database.

I think this is a marketing call. No message left, but they tried twice and the same day I received a call from a similar number with 2 different digits - again no message. When I called it (blocking my own number) there's an automated number saying the office is closed and it's 'something' communications (I didn't catch the first word). I figure if it was important / genuine they'd leave a message.

Be careful, I was called with an offer from ‘Currys Carphonewarehouse’ to reduce my mobile sim cost while upgrading the data and minutes allowance and the scammers already had a lot of my personal information including the monthly cost of my current sim plan. The dodgy email account they sent me a confirmation email from was [email protected]. They also called me on 07842778977, 07843577187 & 07848628655. Another landline number associated with the scammers is 02034042911.

I used him to check if my info actually was leaked and then I rejected the transaction and cancelled my card lol. Pretty funny call, although dangerous to those who aren’t very IT literate. The caller rang of as soon as I answered. Therefore I suspect some Sort of sales rubbish or scammer. They will not get a chance to mess me about again as I am blocking the number. I hate this method of trying to sell things to the general public. Most of my peer group no longer answer their land line or their mobile if the number is not in their phones contact list.
I answered the call in time. There was no response, then the line disconnected.
