Rang me and said he was offering me a free pendant for a health issue. I stopped him immediately and asked where he got my number. He blustered and then put the phone down. SCAM - take care.

SPAM Having multiple calls from the above number and 4 others with a variation in the last four digits. No messages are left. I am now up to 14 calls in past two days. This number called me on 28.04.23. Supposedly, a message from my bank to inform that my debit card had been used for suspicious purchases. To cancel the 2 transactions and speak to an agent press 1, which I did. A woman with a very strong foreign accent requested my name, date of birth and address in order to make the cancellation. She then asked for my card sort code, which rang alarm bells. I told her that if she was calling from my bank she should already know that and I would ring them. She hung up.

One number out of an influx of numbers calling me and hanging up - scamming Paki bastards in scam call-centres routing their calls through unused UK phone numbers to pretend that they're legitimate companies to try and fish for your personal details and use them for fraud. Indian accent claiming to be EE running a promotion. He ask for some pretty personal information. Name, address etc things EE should already have on file. Did not know the branch he was working from and was pretty adamant to get card info to enroll for the so called promotion but I had already picked up that it was a scam so no information was provided.

Fraud SCAM Text Message. Got this msg "Hey Mum I have damaged my phone screen so I am on a temporary number can you whatsapp me 07517846236". I always ask for our dogs name as a security check! I contacted my children direct and they confirmed this was not from them.
SCAM. Said they from BT and that my broadband was not working. I know it was as I was online and told them, also mentioned that I thought the call was some sort of scam. Got told that my mindset needed sorting. Redialled the number and it’s not in service.

This is a scam. They claim to be calling from DHL about an unpaid import duty charge but they haven’t even got the right amount! I’d already had an email from DHL a few days earlier. Didn’t ask for payment over the phone but sent an email. What bothers me is that they had my home phone number, my email address (the payment link was in a very poorly constructed fake email from ‘George Spofforth’) & the DHL waybill number. Serious data breach going on here.

As this is the code where we live, answered the first call - no immediate response but after a few seconds, over a very crackly line, what sounded like a well spoken middle aged white lady, said something along the lines of 'suspicious transactions on my account, one for £300 odd & the other for £1,400 odd & I must do certain things at which point I hung up. I think it is a sub-contracted call centre (why it might sound disingenuous?) of sales people for Sky broadband or agents on commission from Sky. They did indeed do a realtime broadband speed check on what they could offer compared to Virgin, which shut them down. It was easy then to end the call. Call center
Second call in 2 days. Appears to be An Amazon Prime scam. Delay on the phone line, then message kicked in regarding renewal of Amazon Prime and to press button 1 to speak to service manager. Hung up as I don’t have Amazon Prime.

Female who claimed her name was Grace Parker used this number to try and scam my 75 year old father in law out of £400 using a scam involving Nationwide building society. luckily the transaction was stopped in time and he didn't end up £400 worse off. The local Police have been informed and are investigating.
This number has called me twice. On both occasions when I answered there was silence before they hung up.
Recorded message saying suspicious payments made and someone had used my card on Amazon for £300, hung up before the end of the message.

Amazon scam local number for lea Valley automated voice says you have been charged by Amazon for about £300 asked to press 1 which will put you through to the scammers. BEWARE
