Called me 6 times in the past 3 weeks. I have missed all the calls as they happened when I am working. They have never left me a message which makes me assume either dodgy or cold calling. After reading other people's comments below I have blocked the number - if it is green peace as some suggest then I have no idea how they have got my number. I have never donated to Greenpeace however I may well have signed petitions but I don't think you usually give out your phone number when you sign a petition

I am suspicious of this phone number. The man phoning spoke good English with a strong accent and was convincing. He told me he was from AV (antiviral program) and that my recent payment of £149 had not gone through. He offered me a discount policy at £29 for the next year. Re The failed bank payment, the bank itself stopped this money and when I spoke to my bank it was decided that the £149 seemed high for an anti viral program and there was a possibility of fraud. the person claims to be from British Gas or another energy provider saying his name is either Peter or Jay he is pushy and aggressice keeps calling demanding to speak to a manager when you refuse he keeps calling and is rude and wont take no for answer especially when you state you dont wnat his business now blocked numbers from his mobile and this number, avoid at all costs as he will keep calling i had 25 calls in less than 4 minutes, after telling him i am going with another energy provider!

I was called this morning from this number and when I answered it was silent, no one spoke so I hung up. This number is very similar to one the other day only differing in the las 2 digits ie: 76 as apposed to 64. A pattern emerging maybe?

SCAM Called saying they were from BT and my internet speed had been reported as an issue. A technician are working on it, but it was software on my router that was wrong. Got me to look up internet speed. Gave them fake results, which would have been top drawer, to be told they were not good Passed me to another technician to get me to open windows run and enter 'www.anydesk.com'. That scam has been doing the rounds for years. Told them I worked in IT, and they hung up!

I was called from this number this morning claiming to be from my bank. It was a recorded message and not a ‘live’ caller. I was informed there were two suspect transactions from my account and, if they weren’t from me, I should press 1 on my keypad. I hung up immediately, checked my bank account and saw that the transactions didn’t exist so I assume that this was an attempted scam.

Telemarketing Sales call - supposedly from Three Mobile but I already have a business contract with Three and this caller is randomly trying to sell me a new handset. Sounds dodgy. Got a similar call a while ago and checked with actual Three and they didn't know anything about it. I said I'm in the middle of a business contract and I don't need new phones and they hung up on me.
