Just had a call from this number saying he was a Bailiff coming round this afternoon to collect on a debt from an advertisement I placed for my business in January 2018. Very insistent but I ended up putting the phone down on him when he would not listen to me, and before he got to asking for any bank details. DO NOT BE TAKEN IN. I asked them to tell me the address to which they claimed the debt was overdue on, but they couldn't. SCAM: I had trouble connecting Alexa to my 89 Yr old mum's Internet. I saw a website that looked genuine for Alexa Amazon. Foolishly I allowed them to have remote access. They pretended that my mum's Internet had a hidden virus. He remotely went to Amazon and pretended to be surprised when the cost of an Internet protection gadget came around £1000. That's when he offered that Alexa Amazon could do it for £249. He definitely had a script. I was unsure and asked for a phone number to call him back.
