Foreign gentleman said he was ringing about any internal house problems that I have that the council arn't doing anything about - I asked what did they council have to do with that surely they are my responsibility - he repeated himself but added about Council or Housing Association tenants - when it dawned on him that I might be a Homeowner he said 'Oh' and hung up
I was called, today, by this number but did not pick up as unknown to me.
I HAD A TEXT MESSAGE ON MY MOBILE TODAY AT 21:17, SAYING THEY WERE FROM "EVRI", AND HAD FAILED TO DELIVER MY PARCEL (I HAVE NOT GOT ANY PARCELS DUE), IT HAD RETURNED TO THE DEPOT, DUE TO FAILED DELIVERY, SOMEONE HAS BEEN IN ALL DAY, AND NO PARCELS HAVE BEEN DELIVERED BY "EVRI", I THINK THIS IS A SCAM, PLEASE CAN YOU INVESTIGATE.

Asked how she got my number and she said it was 'randomly generated' by a computer. Trusted to answer as it's a number local to me. Turned out to be an automated message claiming to be from VISA payments to say that my card had been charged £300 to Amazon and £1100 to Western Union, encouraged me to press 1 to dispute charges. Decided it was going to be a phishing scam and hung up.
Automated call; supposedly from bank, but no name of bank mentioned. Two allegedly suspicious transactions mentioned. followed by a press-button menu. When I called my genuine bank it was confirmed there were no suspect transactions.

I have twice received calls last week from somebody (Roger, I think) claiming to be from SSE. He wanted to talk about a new contract. He didn’t specify whether it was gas or electricity. He first asked for somebody who has not worked here for several years. I asked him to send the new prices by email. He seemed upset by this very simple request and claimed it was impossible. I told him to call back later in the week when he had sent the email. He did from this number and came out with the same drivel
