SCAM / SPAM Automated message allegedly investigating a fraudulent transaction on the Visa card attached to my Amazon account (iPhone refurbishment @ £350). Told to "press 1" to contact Amazon Fraud Detection team otherwise my Amazon account will be suspended. No such transaction showing up on my Amazon account or Visa card. I suspect this is a phishing scam..

An automated voice from a different number said it was HMRC calling, that there was an arrest warrant out for me and this was their last attempt to contact me that I should call 02081442921. Do not call this number. I have informed HMRC of this phishing scam.

Silent calls are made once or twice daily. My answer-phone states "the caller has cleared", and normally the number is withheld, but not on this and a previous occasion. The pattern of the calls makes me think it is the same caller, [for many months]. The TPS advise it may be silent or abandoned calls,or recorded calls.
Called with recorded message asking if I want a new boiler. Hung up straight away.

Kirsty , an automated survey, called Oct 9th 2014. I am ex-directory and registered with TPS. I am also disabled and find phone calls very stressful. Due to my disability, I need my phone line available at all times but this call blocked my access to my own phone line! I hung up and then went to make another call-- kirsty and her survey on energy supply was still prattling on! Hung up again but again, the call was still blocking my line when I tried to call out. Disgusting!

UPDATE FROM CHEAP WEB DESIGN: Unfortunately we continue to be hounded by scammers which is resulting in thousands of people calling us back to see why they were called (we're only a team of 8 so have had to disable our phones and put a pre-recorded message). A couple of days ago I got two text messages confirming an appointment" in East Dulwich London. Needless to say I had no such appointment. I checked the address and it appeared to be a company renting out marquees. I also checked the phone numbers and thus I found this site. Now they have started ringing me but leaving no message. Either they have a wrong number, they are scammers or they are timewasters.
