SCAM - Claimed to be from Sky technical department to fix my internet users. Apparently I have "strangers" using my internet. Only "stranger" here was this dude.
Safe number Just spoke to this company. They discussed my current Royal London policy which I have not reviewed before and found that it was no longer suitable. I then spoken to a qualified adviser and have a correct policy to protect my wife and 2 children. Very professional and I am very happy with their service. No hassle, no fees and no pressure.
Called my landline, didn't answer it, let it go to answer machine. No message left.

Asked for email address as I didn't have the time to speak, told them to send me an email as they seemed to have my info, but he could only confirm my name, so I hung up. Indian 'lady' called saying they were Right Energy part of uk-talk offering wholesale energy rates. Asked where she was located, she said Birmingham. After stringing her along for 10 minutes I asked what was happening with the Bull Ring, she clearly did not know what I was talking about especially when I asked if that's where she gets the bullsh*t from. Then said she was in Kolkata (aka Calcutta) not Birmingham. Said that I was in London helping police with scam callers - phone went dead!

After getting me to jump through some hoops, told me that I would be getting a new router and £204.56 in compensation. That when I realised it was a scam and they needed my account details which they did not get.

Spam. Was an automated message with threat that my internet is going to be disconnected. I have a BT line, so I put the phone down on it and then picked it up and waited for dial tone and then dialled 1572, which allowed me to block the last calling number. Not sure if that blocking facility works on other providers landlines. But worth a try. It's a neat facility.
