Fraud This number called the landline today stating there had been suspicious activity on my bank account totally over £1000. It asked me to click 1 to cancel these transactions or 2 to speak to an adviser. I am aware my bank will not call me with an automated message of such nature - please be aware !!

Think this is a scam telling me there is unusual activity on my account and asking if I want to authorise it or speak to someone.

Asking for someone disabled, getting aggressive repeatedly asking for my name

The man was extremely foul mouthed and told me in no uncertain terms he hadn't rung me

Called by these people offering a free loft roof space check, assured no money involved but if anything detected we would have two years to decide. Loft space checked and said to be in poor state for mould and decay of boards, told it would cost £8k to fix but if we went onto the express service it would be £6,400 but we had to book in right away. We asked for time to think about it and he then appeared to call a colleague who agreed to lower price to £6k but we must firm immediately. We declined.

Said they was calling from Vodafone, potential scam

Fraud suspected. Automated call saying they were from the Chinese Embassy and then switched to speaking in Chinese.

DANGEROUS SCAM. The Phone rang and caller (a computer) hung up when I didn't speak! This was a computer generated call trying to sniff out voice lines. If you answered "hello" or anything else then the line will be detected as 'a voice line' and you'll likely be called back later by a very clever con-artist! 15:58, 09.02.2023. Missed call from this number. No message left. On returning the call : “The number you have dialled is not in service. Please check the number and try again. Goodbye.”

I never answer the landline (to avoid giving scammers/spammers the knowledge that my landline is a valid number). I researched the number but could not find a legitimate index entry, so I conclude it is a scam and not to be trusted at all. Potentially dangerous.
