Telling me I have had two withdrawals from my bank - one being from Amazon for £300 and the other for a couple of thousand from abroad. I had a phone call from (supposedly local) yesterday also saying this! Ignored it.

Called my 86 yo mum claiming to be "the company that services your domestic appliances and boiler", I interrupted the call, asked if they were British Gas, on being told no the caller was invited to go forth and multiply.

Got a fake HMRC call from this number saying I have court case for tax evasion. Hang it up immediatley and pay it no mind.

Said they were ringing about a warranty for my washing machine, at £8.99 a month. The machine was not the make I have. They wanted account numbers. I told them it was bs and they rang off.. Be warned.

SCAM Second call in as many minutes all from Blackburn area telephone numbers. Supposedly from our Bank- 2 transactions this morning - one from Amazon for £300 and another for £1100 for International Money transfer - suspicious- if you didn’t authorise these press 1 to speak to someone- didn’t- now blocked.

Got a text from this number, asking if my business was hiring and offering to advertise for marketing staff on all the best UK job sites! Obvious scam... I ain't even got a business!

Cynical call, a day after receiving a SSE dividend, an unsolicited call from the USA about my share holding. An Indian sounding person, in a call centre, who had to asked on whose behalf he was calling. Then said it was some form of financial company. As if one would talk about your shares to an unknown person, acting for an off-shore company. Initially he was trying to make me believe he was connected to SSE.

Claiming to be Hammersmith police station over bank card fraud, check lots of bank acc details, then say when the call is finished a dialling tone sounds and to dial one's bank customer advice. This takes you through to another fraudster claiming to be your bank who takes more details then says they are transferring you to the serious fraud office. He said there seems to be some fraudulant activity on my account and I should move all my money into the main account and then he would change all my account numbers and sort codes He sent messages from 08000 123 123 and he confirmed Santander will always use this number as it uses the 123 from their 123 account. Remember: Your bank will never ask you to move money!

Asking for bank details and for you to contact fraud department as someone trying to get money from your account….not possible to ring them back…scam.
