I answered the call and was greeted by an automated message which suggested they were calling about potential fraud activity on my Visa. I don’t give out my home number and my card providers use my mobile so I know this was a scam call

phone number 07477 167219 was a scam - a recording saying that I had criminal investigation against me from HMRC I hung up and blocked it - if you ring them back someone answers claiming to know nothing about it
Recorded message claiming to be from 'bank security' (bank unidentified) telling me of two transactions of £300 and £1100 made using my 'card' (also unidentified) and asking a for a number to be pressed for further information. They called pretending to be our internet provider and wanted to connect to our internet to see if there were any issues. When we declined and told them that we had a dedicated I.T department that dealt with that, they hung up.

First said it was from Sky, (knew my name and address), said my contract ended now in begin of April, I corrected saying it was only next month. This and another similar number called my land line and I called the one above back, as I was waiting for a call, but there was no reply Within five minutes a foreign man called back and stated I had phoned him a few minutes before.
