Just been called by this number "To check I m on the best tariff for broadband, phone and TV". I asked where he had my telephone number as I m on the telephone preference service and he said they buy in data and I must have opted in for a call from Simplified Digital.

This number was supposedly called at 8.05am on a Sunday morning from my TalkTalk phone. Followed almost immediately by at 4 minute call to 08444930787 (BA number) definitely not us and TalkTalk are investigating

Called asking for non-executive Director by name - "it s Johnny from the surveyors at Altus" were the words he used. I walked through to our Director and used the same words. Our Director said he won t take the call as he has no ongoing business with Altus and no imminent need. Phone pretending to be from E-on wanting to know who our new supplier was, but as E-on already know that he was clearly a scammer just fishing for information.
