Someone trying to get an elderly friend to transfer money out of her account
Auto dialier, recodred message, claimed to be from Amazon Prime, stating that my Membership Subscription was going to be auto-renwed for £79.99 - Press 1 on tour kepad if you wish to canel. Which I did (as I cancelled it 4 years ago already). Got what sounded like Asian children talking at high speed, very broken up. I traced the mobile phone to a field in Manchester. That is a legitimate business then?? I think not.
IS THERE ANY POINT IN REPORTING THESE CALLS IF NOTHING IS DONE ABOUT THEM THEY STILL CONTINUE TO PHONE .
Keeps ringing but cuts of before you can answer or recognise number.

They call 2 or 3 times a day, and when i answer, i always hear a conversation going on between the people in the office, then they go silent and hang up. I called back today and spoke to a sales agent Maurice James, who said he would remove my number from their account. When I said I wouldn t give her any personal information without making sure she actually was from Vodafone, she offered to send me a text message to confirm (which Vodafone has never done). The text message came from 08700700191, which is not where my Vodafone texts normally from.
