The person calling said they were from Carphone Warehouse and wanted to talk to me about upgrading my phone (but didn't seem to know what model phone I had, plus this mobile isn't with Carphone Warehouse), but the number is showing up online as belonging to a newsagent in Daventry so be cautious as I'm not sure it's legit...

Who does this number belong to. They don't leave a message they just use a different phone each time. They are based in Cumnock, Scotland.

I got a call from this number for a few seconds the person heard my voice but didn't reply. Very strange!
Unpleasant SCAM / SPAM. They left this voice mail message on my phone: "For you there is a tax fraud case registered under your name. You have to press one to get connected to the officer of HMRC. If in case you don't press one and your call is not connected to us then the warrant will be issued under your name straight away and you will get arrested shortly."

I m sure they probably cold-call too but for me I am a customer already.. and many of you may be too without knowing. If you see this number, it s an IP phone POP (point of presence) for an Indian based call centre (might have misspelled that...I think there s a c in con artists....?) that has several web portals (see below), all purporting to be international or regional employment agencies.
