I ve had so many rubbish calls per day that I only answer my mobile. I wait till the phone stops ringing then get No. from 1471 if they have it. Half the time : "caller with held his No." I don t know if my present entry helps. I get these 10 to 15 times a day!..

Trying to sell life insurance.. The normal wolf or Wall Street type clapping in the background when they make a sale.. stay clear, pushy.. has an answer for everything type sales advisors. They say they are calling about the miss-selling of payment protection insurance. I first got the calls in early May when i guess they were just checking whether the random digit diallings were live numbers and saving them into a list. Now they are selling the list or carrying out surveys themselves. This needs to stop. I know people who work in call centres doing this type of thing. It s a slimey business.
