Fraud Caller says they are from the fraud department of your credit card. They then say they are checking on a suspicious transaction which is bogus of course. They say they will block the account but only once they email you a one time pass code which they want read back to them. It’s a scam and was confirmed by the genuine fraud department once I called them.

Yet another scam please do not answer

Thi is the second Glasgow number to phone me today about alleged charges on a visa card to Amazon and an international agency. On phoning back, the number is unobtainable, and I assume a banking scam.

someone claiming to be from O2 called me just now from this number. They were offering a 30% discount on all my bills until the end of my contract, asked me if I wanted to go ahead and told me I would get two text messages with a code I needed to read back to them. Usefully, the text messages were from O2 (the caller had gone into my profile and done a forgotten password which triggers the texts) but the messages said very clearly not to share the info with anyone, even if they claim to be working from O2.

Be mindful if you receive a meme or messages via WhatsApp from him, suggest you delete it straight away and block him. I am suspicious of this phone number. The man phoning spoke good English with a strong accent and was convincing. He told me he was from AV (antiviral program) and that my recent payment of £149 had not gone through. He offered me a discount policy at £29 for the next year.
