Fake call. Block number.

Called asking for my pension details saying they need to send out some new documents. Felt uncomfortable half way through call & asked them to confirm my scheme number. He couldn t & said their info appears to be wrong. He was very friendly & polite but nothing rang true. He said he will confirm his info & ring me right back. He didn t but I rang my pension company who confirmed it was nothing to do with them & they ll investigate. Fraudsters, do not tell them anything!

Called my home phone asking to speak with a business, told them no business here. Kept calling so I entertained the call until they asked for my bank details. When I said i was with metro bank, they said never heard of it. That was the second red flag, the first was him saying they hadnt heard of E-on Energy - as calling from OPUS. So When he suddenly found metro bank on his system and asked for my sort code i was quite rude and said F Off stop scamming people.

Phoned to tell me that I would receive documents in the post in the next two days for my PPI claim. (Oh!) Then asked if I had taken out any credit cards or loans. I responded with "you phoned me and told me you are sending documents, so tell me which loan" to which I was thanked for wasting her time.

Same as the other comment, they started telling me how bad my marketing was and that were very condescending when I mentioned that we had gone into a contract lately elsewhere.

these people call and say you owe councel tax arears,they give no details bar the amount and give you a acount number and sorting code to pay money into. I dont know if it is lagit or not,it is very suspect and im trying to find out about them.

01212011739 keeps calling for our MD and stating it is to do with a financial matter and also mentioned HMRC, got shirty when I said this was a scam of some sort and she said she would find another way of contacting him then slammed phone down as I wouldnt put her through

Similar story to many of the above, claim that the 3rd party in an accident is making a claim and I should too, very poor line on the one occasion someone did speak otherwise it just hangs up after I answer. Tried calling back and it just goes straight to hold music indefinately.

14 Oct 2021 - Caller pretended to be a friend of my daughter when she had asked for her and I told her she no longer lived here. She said her name was Sarah and claimed she had pressed the wrong number in her list of contacts. Seemed very plausible as daughter has a Friend named Sarah, but transpires they haven't been in touch for years. Reply
