Fraud SCAM Got a call from this number, 21/02/2024 at 16:41. Scam caller claiming to be carphone warehouse, which I have no account or dealings with. The people on the other end were talking together unaudibly for at least 30 seconds before some lady spoke through the phone claiming to be carphone warehouse, which she called ‘carphone company’. Hang up and block this number immediately.

Confident English-sounding voice rang, recorded message, saying two amounts of money were to leave my account, expressing concern that they were fraudulent. Told me to dial 1 to find out more. I did not. Sure it is a scam.

This number is a SCAM. I just received a call from a man telling me he had my file in front of him and I have some unsecured debts. When I told him that I do not have any debts he hung up immediately and didn't even say goodbye. Clearly not a genuine debt advice agency because they would never hang up in such a manner. Avoid at all costs.

This is a scam number for "Electric Yorkshire". avoid at all costs, they overcharge and try to add extra hidden charges. Calling to cancel, they will refuse to and try to scam you out of giving them more money. Luckily I was wise enough to not give them a penny. Report and block their numbers, they don't turn up either.

SCAM Automated call from 'Bank Security' saying payments had been taken from my card, one of £300 to Amazon and one an International Transfer of £1,100 (figures approximate). Call sent because, "I had never used these services before." An invitation followed to Press 1 or 2 to cancel or speak to an advisor. Looks like a genuine number from my geographical area. I did not press any digits, hung up and did not attempt a call-back. Perhaps a spoofed number - potentially dangerous.

SCAM Message popped up on my laptop stating that it was in danger of being hacked and had been temporarily blocked. The error message suggested I called a helpline (number stated 020) said to be Microsoft Security. I rang, lady answered (Indian/pakistan accent) lots of noise in the background, she wanted me to depress the windows and the letter R key on my laptop. was evasive when I asked what would happen. Beware. Asian sounding lady claimed to be storing my will and wanted to go through and check for updates. They knew my name and postcode. I hung up and went to our solicitor who said wills are held in their own store and they know nothing about any cold calls.

Call center SCAM - was called by 524 5430 last week so blocked, then today received a call frm 524 5541 relating to insulation. These are such a pain, the government should do something about this.
