I am suspicious of this phone number. The man phoning spoke good English with a strong accent and was convincing. He told me he was from AV (antiviral program) and that my recent payment of £149 had not gone through. He offered me a discount policy at £29 for the next year. Re The failed bank payment, the bank itself stopped this money and when I spoke to my bank it was decided that the £149 seemed high for an anti viral program and there was a possibility of fraud. A scammer just called me with an automated voice saying that I bought an iphone from Amazon and if I want to put a stop to this purchase to press 1, I pressed 1 and went through to a weirdo breathing on the phone I asked him to remove my number from their list and he said 'no because you are really cute', I said I will report this number to the police and he said he will report my number to the police because 'you called me'. A total weirdo who is not only a scammer but really rude too.

I have been plagued by similar calls in recent times, and as my landline is quite new, only a handful of people actually have been given this number, therefore any unsolicited calls are clearly SCAMS
