Several telephone calls from them. They call about my domestic appliance renewal and they use a very similar name to my actual insurance provider. They then lie and claim that the policy is with them and they just want to do a good deal for renewals. I was suspicious so telephoned my actual provider and they confirmed the call was not from them. This is a scam. The callers are dishonest and will call repeatedly. I recommend you block this number immediately.

020 8144 3803 Windows computer virus scam. They (whoever 'they' are) have been using the same script for years. In fact, this number goes back a while. This number rang my landline on both 18 and 19 August. Just rang long enough to get me near the phone, but not long enough to pick up - annoying. When I rang the number (from a safe untraceable mobile) I got the recorded message 'Number not in service' ! At best it's spam - at worst it's fraud, so I'll class it as a scam.

I've had two missed calls from this local phone number, but they don't bother to leave a message & when I phone back it is an automated message that let's me know that nobody will answer and I can't leave a message. If you don't warn someone you're going to phone, they're not going to answer. My only guess is that it's someone from the council or Severn Trent possibly.
Stated they were from tge local housing association and they were running a project to bring all tenners properties up to spec. He wanted to get someone there to conduct repairs. I own my property which came as a surprise to him. I wonder who would have turned up at my door if I had fallen for this ruse. Be Warned....SCAM
