A recorded message from thus number 07743 791664 said that two transactions of £700 and £900 had been made on my credit card this morning. THIS IS A SCAM!!
Warned of unusual transactions on my card including Amazon and international transfers. Unsubtle scam but using local number identity meant I at least answered the call.
SCAM - called back the number and spoke to the post office, said they think someone is cloning their number as they’re getting a lot of calls from people saying that they missed a call from the post office which isn’t true
I was asked to call this number. A man called me on my landline about potential fraud in my bank account and claimed this number was for the Halifax fraud prevention team. The caller asked me to give them my mobile so they could send me a text. When I said no they asked me to ring this number instead.

Said that my Bank card had been used twice today and if it was not me gave me the stale ring 1 or ring 2 options. Have not called them back and have no intention of doing so. Called with message about unauthorized payment from my debit card, if it wasn't you press 1. I did out of interest. Spoke with a man with Indian accent. He knew my name and surname which is highly unnerving. He said a payment of £900 and something pounds had been taken from my debit card. I replied "oh no, it wasn't me, can you help me?". He said yes, he needed some information. I asked which bank debit card? He said Amazon then hung up. Seriously!

Under MRS T&C a company is obliged to reveal the name of the company hes calling from and this guy didnt want to do that.
