Fraud - Incoming call from a foreign call centre. Person on the phone not very bright. When challenged with questions such as “what bank is calling me?” The person was unable to answer and ultimately terminated the call. Missed the call. The call came in at was just before 9pm. Even (I’m not saying this is but) if this was a valued call to be made, to ring at such an hour, is a joke. I say if you think you owe money contact the company yourself. Too many scams going on at the minute to be trusted answering unknown numbers.

I answered the phone to a confident sounding male who I knew was trying to sell something as he began with the usual "I hope I find you well this afternoon". He said our property was on their database as having old fashioned loft insulation. I immediately interrupted him to tell him he was wrong, we have modern insulation and that we don't want it up to the rafters as the loft is boarded and used for storage. THis is fake. I had a text pretending to be from my bank, about a transaction. My bank says no such transaction, and they did not send this message. Advice: do not call the number on the text, call your bank using the number printed on the back of your bank card.
