oh, this is one of those spam calls again. scammers who have nothing else to do with their lives. yes, i got the same call, heavy indian accent, asking me to go to a website.

Called today, call from Porthmadog. Did not answer, checked here and blocked number.

Scam text supposed to be from HSBC

Said they were Barclays but would t give any information until I gave my details to this random person at this random number. Ridiculous obviously declined and asked them to write instead they haven t, not suprised. Do not hand your details over the phone ask them to write to you and remove your contact number from their system.

Keeps calling, different company name each time. Accident compo chasers. 2 calls today, clearly not removing my details from database.

Had a Scouse accent and said they were calling from First Call Ltd carrying out a survey on an accident that I had more than 2 years ago. They said they obtained my information from the insurance company and were checking to make sure that I had received good service. I believe they received this information from "Compare the Market" and not my insurer. No message left now blocked.

This caller phoned me in the last 5 minutes and spoke so indistinctly that I terminated the call. Judging by other comments I m also suspicious of this caller.

Potential cost trap! I also had a phone call about my computer and its "harmful viruses." I said thanks but I dont have the conscience to accept help from a cold call. I felt I was putting my privacy in danger.

Line disconnected when I picked the phone up - probably automated call centre phoning numbers at random in some kind of phishing scam. We have had a lot of these!
