Fraud Sent me a txt message claiming to be from the Halifax saying I had set up a direct debit to screwfix and to call this number if I had not done this. Put me on hold then a chap with a foreign accent asked me for details, I said I will double check with my online banking and he hung up. Scam

So say called from hmrc. Put the phone down and cut the call .

SCAM: Phone rang and then caller, a computer, hung up when I didn't speak! Suspected computer call trying to sniff out voice lines. If you answer then the line is detected as 'a voice line' and will usually be logged or routed through to a sales person. You'll be called back later by some sales dude. They're usually trying to flog or get you to sign up for house insulation or some scam survey based on a government scheme. They're usually quick to say they're not selling, simply enquiring; surveying; etc.

SCAM Said they were a claims company. Had my name, date of birth but had wrong address details. She claimed that I had used them to make a claim several years ago which isn't true. She said it may be so long ago I had forgotten using though them. It's not too long and I know I never have or will use claim companies or cold calls. She made a lot of saying she wouldn't ask for any details that could be a risk to me but went straight into my employment status and address details. I gave her NOTHING and NEITHER

This is a cold caller first thing in the morning, asking what i had in my loft. Denied being a cold caller or nuisance caller. Saying i would benefit from this call. Which i understand to be against the law to do un the UK. I demanded to know where she got my details from. She said it was from the.. P.. Somethinf data base company.. So probabky paid for it.... SCAM 01482680047 pretending to be from the police to gather feedback and follow up an incident that had happened, this case was closed weeks ago so I knew this was a scam straight away. Looks as though the scammers have accessed the police database. They started the call with saying the call was recorded and I needed to consent to GDPR.

SCAM Female operator trying to tell me the company she worked for controlled my broadband and that i could be getting a better rate. When i declined and requested she didn't call me again, she became very argumentative to the point she was shouting down the phone.

SCAM Has phoned twice. Says this is your bank and there are 2 strange transactions on your account. Doesn't name the bank. The transactions are £300 to Amazon and £1000 to overseas banking. Stated if this was not you press one to speak to your bank or press to to speak to an advisor. BANK SCAM

Had a call from this number saying they were the fraud department of Barclays but this is not true.

I was called from these numbers 07874409775, 0787440321 and 07874400818 today 27 Feb'23. A man with a thick Russian accent claiming to be from FCA Cyber Security and asking for details of who I am (Phishing exercise?) in order to return money lost in a crypto scam last last year. The fact is crypto losses cannot be recovered, that was the whole point of it's security, it is tamper proof, so beware.
