I believe this to be a banking scam as the automated called said they were from Bank Security - but no bank name given. They told me that a charge for £700 had been made by Amazon (I no longer have an account there) and an international charge of £2,000. I was asked to press a number to speak to security!!!

A voice said he was James from Relief Energy who said; "I've been trying to call you for a few days now, actually." Well, nobody has been trying to call me when I was at home, and as I check my phone whenever I've been out, then I know for sure that it's nonsense so I just hung up. Left a message saying they are from the Chinese Embassy and then rest of voice message is in Chinese. I receive at least one call a day from different mobile numbers illegally from the Chinese Embassy.
Claimed to be from Virgin technical department and wanted to know how my broadband service was ? I terminated the call.
Didn't ring long stopped before I got to it. Read these comments won't be showering it.

Indian scammers claiming to be from Visa and wanted to have additional authorisation on some recent bank transfers. Checked with bank and no additional authorisations were required. Based on my experience......this is yet another scamming outfit

They knew my name and said they'd been authorised by the government to handle a legal case against FX Trading. I knew it was a fraudulent phonecall when they wanted ID and statements from me. My phone picked up that they were calling from Rome but the man clearly said he was working for the UK government. Very dodgy!

0207 9245544 - this number is a scam!!! Called me twice, I didn't answer as didn't recognize the number. I then googled the number and it's some motability Volkswagen thing in London. I called them four times trying to find out why they called me - they are rude and refuse to tell me why they called me!!! Instead, they demanded my name and then started the sales pitch! I never contacted them and I'm not in London so have nothing to do with them! This is clearly a scam!!!
