SCAM used to work for this company we were essentially paid to call elderly customers and lie to them that we were Dyson and miele and they had to pay for mandatory vacuum servicing etc, they would push us to sell to those with dementia because they could charge more and service more frequently awful company.

The caller with a strong foreign accent (possibly Indian) stated he was calling from BT Openreach about potential problem with my internet connection. So I thanked him for calling and hung up, as it sounded like it might be an all too frequent scam call.
Lady with Indian accent very polite introduced herself and said she was calling from Lifestyles. Asked about my housing, had my postcode - which I didn't like ended the call. I had previously been called by this number so suspect they're using a dialler as the first call dropped as soon as I answered it

It states it so quickly, I can't be sure if 100% correct. If it were important then it wouldn't be coming from a mobile! Either way, then says "press 1 to speak to an officer". I didn't.

I am getting at least 4 calls a day - no one talks and if I answer they just put the phone down.
Scam mobile number. After i made a flight booking through OPODO i immediately get a txt message saying my credit card was declined and i was to answer YES to stop future declined. Unfortunately i did reply YES. So this could mean they will use my number for future scam attempts. I already checked my phone for any malware (avg scan). Anything else i should do? (already checked bank account no dodgy transactions yet)

SCAM. This number is definately a scam. It has a recorded message saying that £1100 has been transfererrd from my account and to press 1 if it wasn't me etc. No account bank was mentioned or account number. It is just a frightener fraud type scam.
I was caught out by this today. They claimed to be calling from O2. Luckily, I realised after the call ended and was able to change my account details before any damage was done. The scammers knew all of my details - full name, address, email address, how much I'm billed each month - even my security question. They were very convincing. Difficult to hold a sensible conversation, transpired person wanted to make a case for selling wall and roof insulation. Not needed but difficult to close a conversation with caller who isn't listening!
