Have been calling for approx 18 mnths, first started calling 4/5 times a day, dropped to once a week until eventually once a month or so. Very persistant, been calling for over 18 months.

Been rang by this number several times this week, but they would not leave a message on my answer machine. They rang at 3pm today, so i answered the call. Was told they were Consumer helpline, and i was owed an over payment on a loan in 2011. Never had a loan. so they were phishing. Was told they had been given the wrong information. Don t know how they got my number as Ex-directory.

Irish lad said he was calling about my frozen pension. i played along and made up stuff about a fictitious pension which he VERIFIED. When said I was just digging out the file to get the pension reference number he hung up, l am a pension administrator so can baffle them with terminology. Proves these calls are a scam.

Had the same call told her I don t drive and to remove my number, she hung up.

After three calls yesterday about the same thing, all from crooks saying they were from Talk Talk, this man had rung to tell me my router had been compromised, though I did not pay much attention to what he said was wrong with it.
