Caller asked me if I remember the car accident I’d had? Well, unless I’m concussed and / or lost my memory as a result of it … then no, I can’t remember it due to not actually having an accident. An Asian (oriental) sounding voice speaking barely understandable pigeon English. Readers can make up their own mind if the call was a Scam but in my mind the caller is already burning in hell in the eternal fire. Love and peace

Call is from Vietnam, as with all 0843, it hangs up don’t call it just block it and delete it.

This number is from scammers in Birmingham wanting your bank details to repay you home appliance warranty overpayments that do not exist. Usually get three to four calls per week from same people using different numbers. They claimed to be from my bank (VM money was Yorkshre Bank) to ask me about potential fraud on my card. (£52 on Argos in Aberdeen) I was supicious when they got agressive when I didn't know my banking paswword and I said I would have to call them back. I called the fraud number I have in my phone (0800 121 4251) and they confirmed it wasn't them that called me before. The chap on the actual fraud line also said that the real bank won't ask for any part of or all your internet banking password EVER!

I was caught out by this today. They claimed to be calling from O2. Luckily, I realised after the call ended and was able to change my account details before any damage was done. The scammers knew all of my details - full name, address, email address, how much I'm billed each month - even my security question. They were very convincing. Fraud The claimed to be from my home appliance cover. They tried to get my bank details (even though we are on direct debit so the real provider would already have it). When challenged they called back several times getting more condescending each time. We then phoned our actual cover provider and they confirmed it was a scam call. DANGEROUS.
