I can not possibly recommend him enough. He could have taken everything, I gave him my entire wallet, but he did exactly what he said he would. Received a call on my mobile from someone with an African accent who could barely speak English, ie he was reading from a script. He seemed to be saying he was from 'Tesco Mobile' but am not sure of that. We ended the call and blocked the number.

Housing maintenance scam? Called them back several times and calls were answered by different people each time. They then called me back and asked for my wife by her first name. They said they were calling people who rented council property and asked if this was still the case with my house......which is a private house and always has been. Now blocked.

Same as below received emailed ebay order confirmation which states 'call us on + 20 7665 0123 to report this to our fraud protection team'. Just recently used ebay for first time in years so very suspect and definately not a genuine order. Report direct to ebay direct, not on number provided in invoice, from the online site and Actionfraud website.

MRI department colchester hospital
Claimed to be from the Telephone Preference Service. I asked them where they were and he said London. I asked how the weather was in London, and he said the weather was fine. I replied and said it was raining in London, to which he said that he likes rain so it is fine. I called him a liar, he hung up. Scam.
Called from Citizens advice group. I questioned the male caller with a south Asian accent in some detail. He was very helpful. They were calling about debts and he asked what debts we had. I asked him where they got our number and he replied FCA ????????????. I then asked him for the person or department name as I have previously worked with FCA in the past, he didn’t give it to me. He was very polite and said he couldn’t continue. He also said they weren’t authorised in the UK!

Missed call cannot ring the number back which screams SCAM or high pressure sales call. I have been pestered recently by buy to rent mortgage type people although not from the area code (Torquay) and estate planning neither of which would be of any use to me. Asked how she got my number and she said it was 'randomly generated' by a computer. Missed call Have had several calls from this number but have not answered them or they have been a missed call. I suspected this was a scam because my daughter phoned the number and a message said this number cannot receive calls.
Got a call proclaiming to be O2 offering 30% discount on phone bill free of charge for loyalty. The contract mentioned is 2 weeks old and I haven't paid a bill yet! I ended the call as soon as I could, if it's genuine I would have expected a text from O2 or an email.

I answered a call from this number. The person claimed to be called James from a company called Relief Energy. So far as I can determine, there is no official record of any such company, making me certain that it is a scam.

SCAM Had a number of calls recently offering a new iPhone. I don't use or like Apple products so they are wasting their time. 2 calls yesterday from 01208 247201 - missed the 1st, but they rang again withing seconds. As suspected, another iPhone scam call. That block of numbers is owned by Franzcom Telecoms in Bodmin, Cornwall. Something needs to be done to prevent these foreign scammers spoofing UK telephone numbers.

I don't recognise the number, but suspect some sort of scam or nefarious activity. Although the criminals mainly target my landline, some of them seem to have my mobile number.

A voice not quite loud enough to hear properly was talking about charges and disconnected. I called the number back and a different, real voice again very quiet spoke, whilst I was trying to hear the call I could hear a dog barking and so hung up and blocked the number.
