Whatever we think of the tax man, at least we can rest assured HMRC wouldn't call like that ... they'd send 5-15 letters first. Left me a very threatening voicemail saying that it’s HMRC or something and that if they don’t hear from my criminal attorney that there will be a warrant out for my arrest. Not the kind of voicemail you want to wake up too. People have nothing better to be at these days.
