Potentially dangerous scam. Got a call from them this morning. In the most Queen's English claiming to be HMRC and stating that there is a tax fraud case against me. Threatening to issue a warrant and arrest me if I don't call them back... All hallmarks of a scam, not addressing me by name and going straight into threats territory.

This was an automated call claiming to be from a bank (unspecified), warning me about two purchases through Amazon, on my bank card. I had a similar call for a local number earlier in the day. I didn't click 1 or 2 to authorise or to get help. Apparently the number is a landline in Bangalore!

They keep changing landline numbers and I keep blocking them I have told the guy on the phone not interested. A woman with an Indian accent who called herself Alysha-Trottman stole money from my account promising a loan that never materialised. Today a man who claimed Alysha-Trottman passed my loan application to him asked me to send £200 through money gram into their account upfront in order to get my loan. When I refused, he then showed his true colour by threatening to withdraw every penny in my account as he now has all my bank details. He said he s a scammers and laughed then hung up !
