Early morning call; the caller claimed to be from amazon asking about an iPhone order(never made) and said someone must have used my details. They asked if I was on an Android or iPhone, or to go to google on chrome to search for 'Anydesk' ( this App is for remote access, so I refused to download it,) when they realized I understood what it was they hung up. Be careful people!

Potential Scam - I got a Whatsapp message from this number telling me they were looking to recruit me and that they got my number through LinkPoint (I had never signed up with them). On LinkPoint's website, it says not to respond to any Whatsapp messages as they are not from them.

This was a scammer who pretended to be from BT talking about illegal access to your broadband.!! That's rich!! Hacked my bank account and Amazon a/c. It took ages-up to 5 days to clear this mess up and it leaves a sour taste in your mouth. If someone had asked me last night if the death penalty was appropriate for scammers, I would have agreed. Text message received from Sants fraud asking me if I had made a pmt of 33458.64 to a Ali Afza? if not to call fraud on the number and not to reply by text. Luckily I worked for Santander so knew it was a scam but it is very convincing.
