This is allegedly 02 network from an Indian call centre. When i spoke to them i said let me call my customer services to verify your phone number they hung up. As it happens 02 didn't answer the customer service line so unsure if a scam number posing as 02. It didn't charge me for the call. I have blocked the number.
I had several calls from the company Web Security Experts with regards to renewing computer security, saying that 4 years ago I paid a membership fee, which I have no knowledge of knowing. They have threatened to take money from bank account. I searched from email and other correspondence from them but cannot find nothing. text message with phone # attempting to procure my debit card information. The message asked if I spent a certain amount at a nearby supermarket I shop at. Then they send me a URL to contact. I put in the url and my computer warned me the site was fraudulent and looking for credit cards, bank info, social security numbers etc. The entire page went red and warned me to NOT give any info to these people. I am still going to call my bank tomorrow morning - Better to be safe than sorry.

SCAM The guy knew my name but wanted to "verify" my address and I didn't want to do that threfore he snapped cursing me. Obviously I started cursing him back and he eventually hang up. BEWARE!

Spam. Was an automated message with threat that my internet is going to be disconnected. I have a BT line, so I put the phone down on it and then picked it up and waited for dial tone and then dialled 1572, which allowed me to block the last calling number. Not sure if that blocking facility works on other providers landlines. But worth a try. It's a neat facility.

This is clearly a campaign, though not a very effective one as their automatic dialer does not ring long enough for one to actually answer the phone. In recent weeks I have also had annoying calls from numbers in the same range, for example 03301900598 and 03301900590. I'll just keep blocking them.

A dangerous fraud / scam call pretending to be from the UK HMRC. Automated American woman's voice telling me legal proceedings are underway against me and I need to press 1 to speak to an officer. For many reasons, that's not how HMRC would operate.

My policy is this - I never answer calls from private or with held numbers, and if a number shows up, but is not listed on my phone I still won`t answer the caller. My phone is for my use, not others to maybe scam call me.
Very rude. Very bad. Wouldn’t tell me who was calling. Just wanted me to confirm my name with a yes or no. When I would not say yes or no and just kept asking who was calling, she said well you can piss off! and put the phone down on me. Don’t ever say yes or no on the phone - they record it and use it as approval for trying to get into accounts etc.
