This number is from scammers in Birmingham wanting your bank details to repay you home appliance warranty overpayments that do not exist. Usually get three to four calls per week from same people using different numbers. They tell you that you have overpaid and they are from the refund department and can only pay your refund directly into your bank account DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY DETAILS. Persistent calling purporting to be a bank (although doesn't say which), that has detected fraud on your account (?) and asks you to press number to contact them. This is a scam.

The caller with a strong foreign accent (possibly Indian) stated he was calling from BT Openreach about potential problem with my internet connection. So I thanked him for calling and hung up, as it sounded like it might be an all too frequent scam call.

They offered me a 40% discount on my EE bill. I checked with EE and its a scam, nothing to do with EE. They ask some personal questions (which i refused to answer) then send a generic email, Subject 'EE Upgradation' (im not even sure that's a word, is it) saying Welcome to EE, etc, etc. I hung up and suggest you do the same.

Fraud George from Visa Bank Security - dont give ANY information - they could not confirm who I banked with so would not speak to them.

UK Number 7442644606 Caller plays an automated message saying 'Your National Insurance has been compromised in Wales etc...Before we take any Legal action against you for its misuse, talk to our officer". This seems highly suspicious as there have been no notification whatsoever for the same via either postal-mails or emails etc.

00918045708684 called 30 May 23 at 10:38hours. Female voice advised that my "visa account had been debited £1xxxx from a gambling ??? in California, press 1 to talk to our ???. or 2 to authorise payment ", hung on for a short while to hear if anything followed..... nothing so hung up.

Recorded message from Bank Security (didn't specify which bank). 2 suspicious transactions, first for £700something by International transfer.... Gave up at this point and hung up as it's one of many we've had all very similar wording.

SCAM First I received a silent call from 028 8505 1239 (to verify a working number?) Then within 5 minutes, I started getting whatsapp messages from a very attractive female profile asking when I was going to visit her using the number 07727214429. Looks like a scam to me.
