Cynical call, a day after receiving a SSE dividend, an unsolicited call from the USA about my share holding. An Indian sounding person, in a call centre, who had to asked on whose behalf he was calling. Then said it was some form of financial company. As if one would talk about your shares to an unknown person, acting for an off-shore company. Initially he was trying to make me believe he was connected to SSE.

Had 3 calls so far today, 1 in morning 2 afternoon, all hang up after I pick up, regardless of wait time. No one knows my landline either, so don’t know how it’s being called unless it’s malicious. I was targeted for an unusually precise scam 26/05/23 in which a group telephoned me apparently with specific knowledge of my bank organisation, my name and mobile number. The scam started by suggesting there was fraudulent activity on my bank account, and that the account was being temporarily suspended. What surprised me was that they knew who I banked with, and also spoofed the relevant bank telephone number

They offered me a 40% discount on my EE bill. I checked with EE and its a scam, nothing to do with EE. They ask some personal questions (which i refused to answer) then send a generic email, Subject 'EE Upgradation' (im not even sure that's a word, is it) saying Welcome to EE, etc, etc. I hung up and suggest you do the same.

Caller said they were from NHS asking me to confirm some details and to ask if I was keeping an upcoming appointment. A verified NHS number (0800 678 3393) also called me yesterday with an automated machine asking me to confirm my appointment. When I said this to today's caller they said that there was a problem with their system and they needed to call again. Their tone sounded genuine. I will update this message if I find out otherwise.

Claimed to be from o2 offering 30% discount on bills due to cost of living crisis - clearly targeting vulnerable people who may be desperate. Offered no information to validate who they were & told me "don't you worry about that" when I asked any questions!
Also calls are coming from 01780665029, 01780665037,01780665024, all spam unwanted calls always around 4pm onwards. Do not have any appliances on repair or warranty
